Joseph Gabriel

“One of the classiest magic acts you’re going to see in a long time! The best I’ve seen!” This was Carson’s reaction after witnessing Joseph Gabriel’s first appearance on the Tonight Show in 1983. Over the next several years, Joseph would appear a total of seven times with Carson. Gabriel has appeared on virtually every major television variety show, most notably his televised Command Performance for President Reagan.

   I remember seeing this live in 83 and taping it on my Betamax. I watched it many times.

   Joseph on the late 90’s had a show at the Lamb theatre in NYC. It was one of the best Magic shows ever. I am sorry to see he did not have the financial success he truly deserves.

   He is truly talented.

   I am amazed that Lance Burton gets millions and Joseph did not. It appears that showbiz is not fair.

   Joseph truly deserves a larger contract…
